The American Museum of Natural History is gearing up to begin construction on their new Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation, on their Upper West Side campus. The project has been known infamously as the Solar Carve and features 139,000 SF of commercial space including 40,000 SF of retail, a 10,000 SF shared roof deck, and an 8,000 SF 2nd floor terrace.

Tishman Speyer has just revealed their first ground-up condo tower in New York City which will rise in Downtown Brooklyn, adjacent to the Macy's the developer is currently renovating. Known as 11 Hoyt, the tower will rise 51-stories, designed by Studio Gang, the Chicago-based architecture firm led by Jeanne Gang.
