The private residents club at the luxurious 100 East 53rd Street has been revealed at the Aby Rosen developed project which was designed by Foster + Partners. The brand new modernist landmark in the heart of Midtown Manhattan rises 63-stories and will feature two Joël Robouchon restaurants on the ground floor. The spa-inspired amenities are located on the tower's 3rd and 4th floors which include a 60' sunlit swimming pool line in black granite, a state-of-the-art wellness facility complete with a cardio room, weight room, pilates/ballet room, yoga room, sauna, steam room, spa treatment rooms and his-and-her changing rooms and showers. 100 East 53rd Street also features a resident’s library designed by William T. Georgis with custom furnishings features a highly curated collection of titles. The lobby was also recently completed with furnishings by Georgis and original artwork, including a work by celebrated artist Rachel Feinstein called "Panorama of New York."
There are two different kinds of residences at 100 East 53rd Street, the loft and the tower residences. The Loft residences offer expansive open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows and dynamic city views. Fluted concrete ceilings, exposed concrete columns, architectural concrete walls, and diamond-polished high-grade concrete flooring are some of the sleek details that define the interiors. The concrete allows for flexibility in design, with integrated reveals in the ceilings for customized lighting systems ideal for displaying art collections. Residences come in 1 and 2 bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,140 SF to 4,607 SF. Luxurious living features include radiant-heated flooring throughout, 10' high ceilings, custom millwork by Foster + Partners, custom window vents, and kitchens with brushed solid stainless-steel counters, floating illuminated kitchen wall shelves that are a trademark of the building, and Gaggenau and Sub-Zero appliances. The architectural concrete walls were fine-tuned by artisans who have worked with master architect Tadao Ando to keep the residences pin drop quiet.
Soaring above the lofts, residences in the tower feature dramatic city views and sleek finishes, designed by Foster + Partners. The open chef’s kitchens feature wire-brushed oak cabinetry with integrated pulls and bronze detailing, cabinet-fronted Gaggenau and Sub-Zero stainless steel appliances including wine storage, a 96” X 26” center island, and Italian Carrara marble knife edge countertops and backsplash with embedded ventilation and LED lighting, a true culinary delight that allows for seamless entertaining. Residences range from studio to four bedrooms, and prices start at $2.25 million and go up to $65 million for the 6,760 SF penthouse.
