ASH NYC has just launched its teaser site and released new imagery for their new rental conversion project Glassworks Bushwick as they gear up to launch leasing in January. ASH NYC is known for transforming historic spaces into modern and trendy ones such as The Dean Hotel in Providence and The Siren in Detroit. ASH NYC teamed up with Martin Lomazow, legacy owner of the Dannenhoffer Opalescent Glassworks factory site, to develop the project which entailed converting the 77,000 SF Dannenhoffer Opalescent Glassworks building which was originally built in 1888 into a mixed-use development. Lomazow's Security Bag Company has owned and operated the site for nearly 50 years before it was acquired by ASH NYC. Together, they have revitalized the original Glassworks and chose to highlight its identity while adapting its functionality to serve current and future New Yorkers.
Located at 336 Himrod Street, ASH NYC integrated the historic building and facade into the three-building development with new construction. Glassworks Bushwick features 63 rental units which range from studios to 3 bedroom flooplans, as well as penthouses. Residences feature white oak flooring, stainless steel appliances, light fixtures designed by ASH NYC, and balconies or Juliet balconies depending on the unit.Pricing for studios is yet to be released but 1 bedrooms will start at $2,500 per month, 2-bedrooms for $3,100 per month and 3-bedrooms will start at $3,800 per month. Amenities include community work spaces, a fitness room, indoor bike parking, a public roof deck and yard designed by Brooklyn Grange to allow residents to meet and interact, and a barbeque area. Residents will also have access to garage parking, private balconies for the apartments, and on-site laundry. Leasing is expected to begin in January 2018 and will be exclusively overseen by EXR.
