Ingrained Hospitality Concepts announced plans to open a third and fourth location, at Rockefeller Center and JACX&CO, to open rice bowl shop FIELDTRIP. Tishman Speyer owns the two new locations of dining concept space. FIELDTRIP is looking to expand their customers and connect with local communities by joining Rockefeller Center’s iconic mix and the JACX&CO’s trendy up and coming Long Island City neighborhood.
FIELDTRIP diners was introduced by award winning Chef JJ Johnson and partner Will Sears of Ingrained Hospitality Concepts. The original Harlem location became a big hit quickly for its famous crafted rice bowls, crispy chicken and seafood gumbo along with sides including crab pockets, crispy wontons, and bao buns.
“FIELDTRIP is a perfect fit for Rockefeller Center – it is a brand built by New Yorkers for New Yorkers, and it has an authentic approach to building community. Especially during the pandemic, JJ and Will have demonstrated the grit, creativity and resilience that is New York City, and we couldn’t be happier that they’re coming to the Center and joining our growing list of curated dining experiences,” said EB Kelly, Tishman Speyer Managing Director overseeing Rockefeller Center.
“Rockefeller Center is the epitome of New York and certainly the heartbeat of Midtown. So of course the opportunity to bring FIELDTRIP into this part of town and be actively involved in helping to bring back the energy, vigor and New York resilience to this essential sector of the city is a true honor. We are thrilled to be working with Tishman Speyer in this effort and look forward to a fruitful undertaking,” said Spears.
FIELDTRIP’s brand vision is not only to connect with their local community but to also be an industry leader. The Harlem location was established as an essential business during the COVID-19 lockdown and continued to feed essential workers, children and families through its feed program. The feed program has delivered year to date over 85,000 meals during the pandemic with a main goal to provide healthy meal options to people in need. Healthy bowls were delivered to frontline workers across New York City including doctors, nurses, hospital personnel and even families in need at the Ronald McDonald House. FIELDTRIPS’s feed program also is focused on feeding the community’s youth and partnered with the Madison Boys and Girls Club as well as Head Start North Bronx for the initiative. They also provide local community’s youth with breakfast before school. FIELDTRIP is a community-inspired dining experience that celebrates New York’s Harlem culture and influenced by global unique flavors. The two new locations in the boroughs.
