Tishman Speyer brings a unique hospitality experience to its public space at The Rink at Rockefeller Center. Lee Hanson’s Frenchette and Ignacio Mattos’ Estela have recently joined the outdoor dining lineup at Rockefeller Center alongside other famous names, offering a limited-edition picnic style menu. Reservations can even be made on the Resy app to enjoy dinner on wooden picnic tables with white umbrellas spaced 6 feet apart to encourage social distancing.
“We are thrilled to add Frenchette and Estela to Rockefeller Center’s dynamic lineup of restaurants, and give even more New Yorkers the opportunity to enjoy their incredible offerings this summer,” said EB Kelly, Tishman Speyer Managing Director who is overseeing Rockefeller Center. “Year-round, we strive to present one-of-a-kind experiences and moments that can happen not just ‘only in New York’ but only at Rockefeller Center. Enjoying these incredible restaurants in the heart of the City, while surrounded by magnificent artworks on display at Frieze Sculpture at Rockefeller Center in our plazas, absolutely is one of those experiences.”
Chef-Owners Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson of Frenchette won the 2019 James Beard Foundation Award of Best New Restaurant. They will offer an assortment of delectable French dishes with two seatings on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Mangums of natural wine can be pre-ordered and beer and cocktails will be available onsite.
Estela, Michelin-starred restaurant by Chef Ignacio Mattos, features a menu with a selection of snacks designed to feel like an end-of-summer picnic. Snacks range from chips and dips to caviar and even a seafood tower with cocktails, wine and beer available to purchase.
Outdoor dining at Rockefeller Center also includes grab-and-go meals or drinks from the Rainbow Room, Makina Café Truck, Other Half, City Winery Ben & Jerry’s, Limani, and Del Frisco’s Grille. This is a New York moment you will not want to miss!
