Brooklyn's Cobble Hill neighborhood will soon be getting a major overhaul as the former Long Island College Hospital will be replaced with a mega-project conversion being developed by Fortis Property Group. The project features a selection of 5 condo components designed by acclaimed architects including 1 River Park by FXCollaborative, 2 River Park by Hill West Architects and 5 River Park by Douglas Romines. River Park will also feature condos in The Polhemus Building, a current component of LICH undergoing condo conversion, and Polhemus Townhouses.
1 River Park will rise 15-stories and feature 48 condos with balconies that can range up to 300 SF. 2 River Park will be the tallest tower, rising 38 floors, 475', and will feature 119 residences complete with access to a "sky park" with views of the Manhattan skyline. 5 River Park will rise 15-stories and feature a selection of 25 high-end residences with luxurious amenities including a resort pool. The developers have also released a rendering with how the project will ultimately be laid out on the former campus (below). River Park is expected to be completed in 2019.
