RFR and Foster + Partners have completed One Hundred East Fifty Third Street, the new modern landmark that now graces the Midtown Manhattan skyline, and the tower’s first residents are now closing on their residences and moving in.
“With world class design paired with a luxurious spa-like private residents’ club and access to two highly-anticipated world-class restaurants from Michelin Starred team, One Hundred East Fifty Third Street offers access to a coveted lifestyle, comparable to a five-star hotel,” said Aby Rosen, co-founder and principal of RFR, “We are thrilled to have reached such an important milestone at this exceptional building, located in what is fast-becoming one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in New York. We cannot wait for our residents to experience it for the first time.”
One Hundred East Fifth Third Street rises 63 stories with an undulating façade, offering a collection of 94 contemporary homes, ranging from serene tower homes with sweeping city and Central Park views to limited edition loft residences at the base of the building. The Loft residences offer expansive open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows and dynamic city views. Fluted concrete ceilings, exposed concrete columns, architectural concrete walls, and diamond-polished high-grade concrete flooring are some of the sleek details that define the interiors. The concrete allows for flexibility in design, with integrated reveals in the ceilings for customized lighting systems ideal for displaying art collections. Residences come in 1 and 2 bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,140 SF to 4,607 SF. Luxurious living features include radiant-heated flooring throughout, 10' high ceilings, custom millwork by Foster + Partners, custom window vents, and kitchens with brushed solid stainless-steel counters, floating illuminated kitchen wall shelves that are a trademark of the building, and Gaggenau and Sub-Zero appliances. The architectural concrete walls were fine-tuned by artisans who have worked with master architect Tadao Ando to keep the residences pin drop quiet.
Tower residences include the recently unveiled tower models, curated by “AD100” designer William T. Georgis, which offer dazzling views, Foster + Partners-designed custom millinery, and incredible stonework such as Carrara marble in the kitchen and Silver Striato travertine in the bathroom. The first is a 1,638 SF home with two full master suites and master bathrooms, and the second is a massive 1,375 SF one-bedroom with one and a half bathrooms.
